Meet The Women Of The Ron Paul Revolution

At first glance, the Ron Paul campaign — and his eponymous Revolution — looks like a serious boys club.
Exit polls indicate that Paul's supporters are predominantly male, and unlike his 2012 rivals, the Texas Congressman doesn't seem too concerned about changing that. Paul rarely, if ever, panders to the fairer sex, and his most visible advisors and acolytes are mostly men.
But behind the scenes, a growing number of women — and millennial women in particular — are taking arms in the Ron Paul Revolution, as grassroots organizers, party activists, anti-Establishment political operatives, and elected representatives.
"It's not uncommon…to joke about how an upcoming event will be awesome because there will be at least one girl for every 30 guys," said Bonnie Kristian, a Ron Paul supporter who serves as director of communications at Young Americans for Liberty. "In practice, however, the ratio is much better than that, and over the five years or so that I've been involved, I've seen a very steady increase in the proportion of women in the movement."

Mitt Romney Addresses Gay Marriage, Religion In Liberty University Commencement Address (VIDEO)

Mitt Romney Liberty University Speech
Mitt Romney spoke about marriage, religious freedom and the economy while delivering the commencement address at Liberty University in Virginia on Saturday.
Mitt Romney reinforced his stance that marriage is "between one man and one woman" while delivering the commencement address at Liberty University on Saturday.
"The American culture promotes personal responsibility, the dignity of work, the value of education, the merit of service, devotion to a purpose greater than self, and, at the foundation, the pre-eminence of the family," Romney said. "As fundamental as these principles are, they may become topics of democratic debate. So it is today with the enduring institution of marriage. Marriage is a relationship between one man and one woman."
Despite a top Republican pollster's warning that the GOP's views on gay marriage could be risky, Romney's remarks were well-received at the Christian university in Lynchburg, Virginia. A senior Romney adviser told reporters Friday that Romney planned to use the speech to "mention the fact that marriage is an enduring institution which deserves to be defended."

Barack Obama 2012 Takes Multiple Pages From GOP Playbook

Barack Obama 2012

WASHINGTON -- As he tries to become only the second Democratic president since Franklin Roosevelt to win reelection, Barack Obama is adopting much of the strategic playbook Republicans have developed and used for 40 years.
Of course, on the core substance of policy -- tax rates, regulation and the size and role of government in the economy -- Obama and the post-Reagan Tea Party Republicans couldn't be further apart as the fall campaign begins. And no matter how shrewd or cold-blooded his game plan, the president probably will lose if the economic outlook does not improve more by fall.
